Fertility Nutrition Do's and Don'ts

Nutrients are essential ingredients for fertility. Cutting out foods and ignoring hunger cues doesn’t only make us hangry, it can make our hormones angry and even shut off ovulation.

Fertility Nutrition Do's and Don'ts

Even if you have the same diagnosis as someone else, it doesn't mean your bodies will thrive with the exact same diet. Cutting out major food groups increases our risk of being deficient in essential fertility nutrients.

Many nutrients are crucial for egg quality and a healthy reproductive environment, but this doesn’t mean you can’t include treats! Strict rules and restrictions don’t only put us at risk for nutrient deficiencies, they lead to stress, which increases inflammation and send hormones on a rollercoaster…..a recipe for disaster when it comes to fertility.

As a fertility dietitian, my goal is to empower you with evidence based information on how to improve your fertility in a very holistic and sustainable way. This doesn’t include counting calories, cleanses or cutting out sugar 100%….because none of these strategies (if you can call them that) are sustainable or evidenced based).
