Facts about Fertility & IVF Grants
Many fertility grants have specific criteria that you must meet in order to receive the funding. It’s very important to read all of the criteria before applying.
Many fertility grants have an application fee (typically ranging from $30-$150), so it’s important to understand the grant requirements and specifically where and how grant funds may be used before you submit your application. This fee is considered an administration fee. Note that not all grants have a fee, and you should weigh the pros and cons of applying.
Fertility grants can be clinic specific or given by charitable organizations that allow you to take the funds to any clinic. There may be country, province, or state specific criteria still though.
Most grants can only be used for IVF.
There are a few fertility grants that are flexible with how you spend the funding and allow applicants to spend the grant on different needs from egg freezing, IVF, FET, surrogacy, adoption, donor conception, genetic testing, etc.
Some fertility grants provide a credit to a specific clinic or for discounted treatment at a specific clinic.
Most fertility grants do not cover the cost of medications.
